JEEMIN KIM
Jeemin Kim's interest is to trace and explore the visual language that brings the sublimity around daily lives and interactions. Often times, the sublime experience in Eastern art is also found in geometric forms and abstractions. Jeemin creates a space where the viewers can ponder around and relate to the “void” even with the full of expression. This void is like a resonating spiritual space that holds everything beyond the physical. She borrowed some conceptual approaches such as colored forms, geometric gestures and the planned accident. With these elements and Eastern art together, Jeemin works to explore the work that speaks on its own without institutional concept.
