DANIELLE RIEDE

Gallery Exclusive for Washington

Inspired by dance, Danielle begins with an intuitive movement off the canvas and then records that same movement in paint. This gesture morphs as she moves across the surface of the canvas and an image unfolds. Through these movements, Danielle communes with material, color, and the void. Although she has no predetermined form in mind, the paintings often evoke themes from nature. Glaciers, silt, and biological specimens commingle in her exhibitions referencing time and timelessness.
